Essential Privacy Settings on Roblox
Who can see your profile, add you and chat with you — adjust all of it in a few minutes.
Roblox's default privacy settings aren't always the most restrictive — it's worth reviewing them manually, especially on accounts belonging to younger players.
- Settings > Privacy: adjust who can see your inventory, who can add you, and who can chat with you
- Turn off location sharing in account settings
- Review your friends list periodically and remove accounts you don't recognize
- Use a username that doesn't reveal your real name, age or school
Accounts for players under 13 already automatically get more restrictive default privacy settings — but it's still worth checking nothing was changed later.
