Roblox Glossary: Terms Every Player Should Know
RAP, UGC, Limited, Obby, Tycoon... understand the terms most used by the Roblox community.
If you're new to Roblox, you've probably already seen terms that don't make sense yet. Here's a quick glossary to help you keep up with the community.
- Robux (R$) — the platform's official currency
- RAP — the recent average sale value of a Limited item on the marketplace
- UGC — User Generated Content, items created by approved users
- Limited — a resellable item available in limited quantity, with no fixed price
- Obby — short for 'obstacle course', a parkour and obstacle game
- Tycoon — a building and empire-management game genre
- Experience — Roblox's official name for what most people call a 'game' on the platform
- DevEx — Developer Exchange, the system that converts Robux into real money for creators
- Trade — an exchange of items between players through the official system
- Bundle — a set of avatar items sold together (clothing + accessories)
